Tours of office spaces in Rotterdam, as a secretary from the UK, organising meetings for the company she works for as they ‘want to expand their market into The Netherlands’. Through these tours, I met three secretaries called Roxy, Ashley and Monique. These three women have each been sent an engraved pen, as a gesture of thanks for their assistance during our meetings.
Followed by a guided tour of the Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam using fictional information and quotes gathered from Roxy, Ashley and Monique's tours; implying a corporate usage of the art school building, exploring the role of the woman as a communicator and the nature of the lower-tier, emotional labour within the workplace.
